Let it snow!

Today was the day that Denver got dumped with snow for the first time of the season. So far we have gotten 16 inches and we still have another day for more! David's clinic closed at noon so he headed home for some fun. After Magnolia got up from nap we got her all bundled up and headed outside. It was perfect weather to play in. No wind, fairly warm and lots and lots of snow! It was so much fun and Magnolia had a blast! She was out playing in the snow for almost an hour and a half. We heard many giggles and even a few belly laughs as she threw snowballs that we would make or when David would juggle the snow balls. I would have never guessed that we would have such a little snow bunny!

Ready for snow

Yesterday we realized that we were in for a big snow storm today. David went shopping on his lunch break and I went shopping after Magnolia's nap to round up snow pants, boots, a hat, and mittens for Magnolia. All in all we think her winter outfit is the cutest one around... which is fitting seeing as it needed to go on the cutest girl around!

Our friend Jeanette

Our friend, Jeanette, from Minnesota came this week to visit us. We had such a wonderful time with her and Magnolia just adored her! Jeanette was here for a very short time but we were able to cram a lot in. We went to the Denver zoo on Thursday and then to the aquarium on Friday. What a great few days!

Pug love

I cannot begin to put into words how much Magnolia loves her sister. They are always within a few feet of each other and cant seem to get enough of one another. Magnolia says "HI PUG!" approximately 846 times a day! Here are just a few pics of the sisterly love!

Crazy hair

Magnolia had some crazy hair while watching the Oklahoma football game last week, maybe its the good luck charm that they need.

Pumpkin Patch

It was a beautiful day today so we decided to take Magnolia to a pumpkin patch. Let me first say that this is something that I have been excited to do for many many years. For as long as I can remember I have thought about "when I grow up" I am going to go to a pumpkin patch with my family. I am not sure why this has always been a dream of mine. Maybe its the fact that I love Halloween or maybe its because I have taken so many field trips to pumpkin patches as a teacher and always thought it would be cool to bring my own child to it. Whatever the case, I was so very excited to take Magnolia today. It was a perfect day for the patch... clear blue skies, and the perfect fall temp. We found 4 pumpkins (Magnolia wanted to get one for Ziggy, even though pugs were not allowed to go to the pumpkin patch) and got to cut them off their vines and haul them to the Jeep. Magnolia had a great time touching the pumpkins, and playing in the dirt. After finding our pumpkins we went to a little petting zoo that they had set up. Magnolia fell in love with a donkey. Her eyes were so bright as she giggled and pet the donkey. Maybe we will have to get her one for Christmas... ha ha. All in all it was such a great little outing. I loved watching Magnolia play in the dirt and get excited about pumpkins. As much as I have been waiting to do this and hyping up how much fun it would be to bring my child to a pumpkin patch, I was not disappointed... it could not have gotten any better. What a fantastic day!

GO OKLAHOMA!

Here is Magnolia sporting her new Oklahoma shirt! (She also had to add one of my necklaces to top the outfit off!) She loves watching football and yells "GO GO GO!" when she sees the players running. We have started a Saturday night pizza and football tradition that I hope carries on for years to come. Her and I get black olive pizza while David eats his boring old cheese pizza. Magnolia thinks that she is really something because we have a picnic in the basement and she does not have to sit in her high chair to eat her dinner.

New table

Magnolia got a new table this week and it is absolutely perfect! She and David put it together the other night and boy was she a good helper! She helped her daddy every step of the way and of course, was the first one to try it out! I think she is going to have so much fun with this little table and already has had a friend over to try it out as well!
