Spring Photo Shoot

We wanted Ooh La La Photography to take Magnolia's birthday pictures before we moved. Now we have a full years worth of photo's all taken by a great photographer! Magnolia got to have balloons and a birthday cake, which she loved! She dove right into the cake and ate almost all of the frosting! First day of crawling

Swim Party

Magnolia had a very exciting week... she learned to crawl and got 3 new teeth. I am still working on uploading the crawling video to the blog but have had a few technical difficulties! As a reward for crawling she got to go pick out her reward. She ended up picking out a pool and some pool toys. She has been swimming the past two days and loves it! She even went under water! :)

Bug and Ladybug

We were in Denver this past weekend and Magnolia met her new friend (possible husband) William. Magnolia thought that Will was very very cute and squealed with excitement... which brought tears to Will's eyes! Will's nickname is "bug." When we got back from the hotel and were talking about Will and Magnolia David said "do you think we could call Magnolia 'ladybug' if her and Will get together?" Ha, thought that was pretty funny! Magnolia had a first while with Will... she ate spaghetti! I think that Will found her even cuter with all that sauce on her face! I thought I better get a couple of pictures of the two father in laws bonding as well as Noli and Will!
*For those of you who do not believe in arranged marriage I would just like to let you know that Magnolia does not have to marry Will if things dont work out... there are two other adorable Hace boys that she can choose if she wishes!*

Oh so tired!

Magnolia has been playing so hard lately! She realized that she could play and play and play, and then lay down right then and there and take a little rest!

I just wanted to tell everyone how lucky I am to have such a wonderful Mom! You are the best! I also want to thank my Dad for helping me post my first Blog, since I know I'm not allowed to touch the computer.

Mother's Day

I have had a wonderful Mother's Day so far and its only 10:34 am! David and Magnolia brought me a present in bed... a new coffee maker! Ahh so wonderful to have a very hot cup of coffee! We then went out for bagels and are now getting ready to head outside. These pictures are of yesterday. Magnolia was so funny, she did not like her feet touching the grass! We also got a walker from one of my friends so Magnolia is busy learning how to move around the kitchen in that!


I got this poem as a forward from my sister in law and realized that this is exactly how I feel! I have never felt my heart so full of warmth and I truly feel like the luckiest person in the world because I am a mom... not only a mom, but Magnolia Claire's mom!

Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys
or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or
not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about
immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my
mind and my thoughts..
I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a
screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night
watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby
just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces
when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something
so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom as much as I do.

Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body..
I didn't know how special it
could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between
a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something
so small could make me feel so
important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the
middle of the night
every 10 minutes to make
sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment
or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable
of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom

Hangin' Out

Here are some pics of Magnolia from this week. We had a pretty low key week, which was kind of nice! I love this picture of David and Magnolia. She gets so excited when he gets home from work. She waves her arm so hard I swear she is going to pull her arm out of the socket!
The last picture was when I was thought I would be really funny and put Magnolia' socks on her hands. As you can see, she didnt seem to care and left them on! So, I guess we have a girl that cannot stand to have socks on her feet, but thinks its really fun to have them on her hands!
