Keegan got his first tooth on Tuesday! He has been very cranky and uncomfortable the past few weeks so I am so happy that the tooth finally popped through! It looks like it will be any day that the one right next to it will pop up. He also had his 6 month check up a couple weeks ago. He is very healthy weighing in at 19 lbs 14 oz. He was very brave getting his shots and handled them like a champ. Isnt he just the most handsome baby around?!
Welcome to the Maki family blog! This blog has been created to celebrate the lives of our 2 amazing children, Magnolia and Keegan.

Colorado weather

You never know what kind of weather you are going to get in Colorado during the month of March. We have had some beautiful days in the mid to upper 70s and then we have days like today... very cold, windy and dumping 6 inches of snow. I am done with winter so lets just focus on the beautiful days like the ones in these pictures!
Pretty princess
A day in our world is not complete unless there is at least one outfit change by Magnolia. She LOVES playing dress up (and there is a disaster in her closet to prove it!) This day she asked her daddy to take her to the royal ball. So darn cute! This girl loves her daddy and tells me on a very regular basis that he is her hero. I couldnt think of anyone better to be her hero... he is my hero too! :)

Opposite Day
Magnolia had opposite day at school a few weeks back (yes, I am very behind blogging!!) She had been planning her outfit for this day for a very long time. To say she was the most decked out kid in her class is an understatement. She had one pigtail up, one down. A black and white stripped dress with polk a dot pants. One pant leg was up, one was down. Unmatching socks. One sandal, one boot. Her shoes were on the wrong foot. Her shirt was on backwards. Her pants on backwards. The best part?? She even put her underwear on backwards! Such a funny girl!

Playing around
Have I mentioned just how much Magnolia LOVES her little brother? I remember when I was pregnant she said she only wanted a sister. She said this every day. When Keegan was born both David and I were a bit worried how Magnolia was going to handle having a brother. Now I look back and laugh at the fact that I worried about that. This girl loves Keegan more than anything. She says almost daily "I just love my little brother. He is the best brother ever." I have only heard her get frustrated with him once. Most of the time she is making sure he has enough toys, and making him smile. The day of these pictures she decided they were going to have a sleep over so she made little beds for them. Their beds started pretty far apart and by the end of the play time they were snuggled right next to each other. They were so cute I just couldnt pick one picture to put on the blog!
