Happy New Year!

Happy New Year.  Here is Magnolia getting ready for her first new years!  Yes, those are leg warmers that she is wearing!  Her new years resolutions are: crawling, walking, talking and getting some teeth!

Merry Christmas

Magnolia had a wonderful first Christmas.  She woke up at 7:30 in her Christmas pajamas and was ready for a day of fun!  After her Christmas breakfast she got to see what santa brought her.  Magnolia and Ziggy had lots of fun playing with their stockings.  Both girls were very good this year and santa knew it!  We then started opening gifts.  Needless to say, we got a little carried away shopping for Magnolia.  It is so much fun to buy her stuff!  She loved eating the paper, bows and ribbons!  She was so into the boxes, toys and wrapping that she sat on the couch for over an hour just taking it all in.  She was so cute and it was so great to see her on her first Christmas.  The rest of the day was spent playing with all the new toys and having fun.  We all got new pajamas just for the day so we spent most of our time in our pj's and relaxing.  

Santa Baby

Magnolia had a very exciting half birthday. She got to go sit on Santa's lap for the very first time.  She loved it and told him that all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth!

6 Months Old

Magnolia is 6 months old today!  It is so funny to think about the time... In one hand it feels like she has always been here and been apart of us, but on the other it seems like just yesterday that she was born!  I cant believe all the changes in this little girl in just a few short months.  She can now sit up, babble, smile, laugh, throw toys and so much more.  I cant imagine any other six months being this amazing and filled with this many exciting changes.  Happy half birthday Magnolia Claire!

Cold day fun

Look at Magnolia sitting up all by herself!  The sisters are really starting to interact more lately which has been fun to watch.  We have come to realize that Ziggy is actually going into Magnolia's room and waking her up on the mornings that David does not work!  As most of you know, Zig is so happy when she gets fed.... so since we sleep in a bit on David's days off she gets antsy and wants her food.  She now goes and wakes up Magnolia because she has somehow figured out that when Magnolia makes noises we will get up!  

The second picture is of Magnolia wearing my winter hat.  She has a huge head and David realized the other day that it is almost the same size as mine!  He then proceeded to put my hat on her and it actually fit!  Her head doesn't fill up the hat, but the width of it was perfect!  Most moms wait years to share things with their daughters... I only had to wait 6 months!

Snowy day

We had snow on the ground when we woke up this morning!!  Magnolia  looked out the window for a long time looking at all that white stuff!  We also are finally getting to use the coat that David bought her.  As you can see she stayed so nice and warm that it put her right to sleep!  Happy Winter!

New favorite picture

I just want to take a minute to say that this little girl is the cutest thing around.  She has got the best smile and is really starting to be a funny little thing.  I cant even begin to describe how happy she makes me.  There are so many times during the day that she gives me that smile and melts my heart.  She has been so silly lately and is so much fun.  It is hard to tell by the picture, but she is actually sitting up all on her own!

Magnolia got a new high chair last week.  She thinks she is pretty hot stuff sitting in it and eating like a big girl!  It is so much easier to feed her in this... we have been putting her in her bouncy chair, but she is to big for it so we had to prop it up just a bit!

Playin' Around

Magnolia has been very busy playing on her play mat lately.  We are trying to encourage her to roll over from her back to her tummy but have not had much luck.  She prefers just to cry and have us do the work for her!  She has really gotten into playing with her mirror the past few days. She also loves to sing along to Christmas carols in the car! 

Happy Thanksgiving

Magnolia had a very busy week this week.  She went to the doctor on Monday for shots and a check up.  She is one healthy girl!  She weighs 17.8 lbs and is 26 inches long.  She was such a big girl getting her shots.  She also had her first Thanksgiving today.  She met another little boy at Thanksgiving that was just a few days younger than her.  She was very interested in him and liked to hug him.  These pictures are her in her Thanksgiving outfit.  

Visiting Daddy At Work

Magnolia and I took a trip to visit David at his office the other day.  She wore her pink "Dr. Magnolia" scrubs so she could be just like her daddy!  Her gums look great and she should be getting her first tooth anytime!  

Cute as a button!

Here are some pictures that we have taken of Magnolia that I thought were pretty darn cute.  She is doing great and continues to love her cereal and has even expanded to sweet potatoes!  Her latest tricks have been throwing toys and splashing in the water.  We took her swimming last night, which she adored and then signed her up for swimming lessons that will start in January.  You may wonder what that thing is on top of her head in the second picture... it's a bow!  She has about 5 strands of hair that are actually long enough to put a bow in.  Somehow I am raising a girly girl.  I think David loves having a girl and is bringing out the pink and bows in all of us!

Cereal

We took the plunge into food this week!  As you can see by the first two pictures Magnolia was not thrilled over the idea of food in her mouth.  Then she realized that she is actually getting full again and loves it!  The bottom two pictures are the next day and she is so happy about eating.  What a big girl she is!  

David's parents were here this past week.  Magnolia had a great time showing them all of her new tricks.  We spent a few days in northern Idaho poking around and enjoying the last bit of fall color.  Magnolia is becoming so photogenic!  She loves to have her picture taken!

Happy Halloween

Magnolia had a wonderful first Halloween.  She charmed everyone at our "Orange Dinner" with her bumble bee costume. She was very excited to be a bee just like her big sister Ziggy!  We did a new kind of trick-or-treating and brought cookies to our neighbors instead of getting candy from them!  It was so warm out that Magnolia got hot in her costume! I dont ever remember a Halloween when I was a kid that I got hot in my costume. She was such a good sport and looked absolutely adorable! What a great first Halloween!
