My boyfriend

Magnolia asked me tonight what a boyfriend is. I told her it is someone who you go out on dates with and see if you like them enough to marry them. I then told her that daddy used to be my boyfriend and then we got married. She then said "I sure am glad you picked him. He is the best daddy. I dont think any other daddy would be as good. I really love him." Oh I couldnt agree with her more! This comment brought tears to my eyes! There isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about how lucky I am to have "picked" David... What I really should say is that there isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about how lucky I am that David picked ME! (Yes, this picture is of David and I back when we were dating! Hard to believe we have been together almost 13 years!)

9 months old

Keegan is officially 9 months old! Just 3 more months and he will be 1! He had his 9 month check up this past week and is doing great. He is 21 lbs and 28 in tall. He has been learning all sorts of new tricks lately. His favorite trick (and my least favorite) is to make motor boat sounds while eating and spit everywhere. I am not exaggerating when I say he is the messiest eater I have ever seen. Magnolia was always so need and hated getting food on everything. Keegan couldnt be more opposite! Guess its "a boy thing"! His favorite food right now is avocado. He also got another tooth this past month which really has helped him chomp! He loves playing peek-a-boo and of course, doing anything with his big sister!

The Pool is OPEN!

Our neighborhood pool opened yesterday and man were we excited! It was a hot day, perfect for our first swim of the season. Keegan LOVED swimming and just couldnt get enough of it! He would splash like crazy and never fussed if water got in his eyes. We bought a float raft for him to sit in while in the big pool but he kept trying to get out and just be in the water without it. He was so funny because he doesnt make a whole lot of effort to move around on the floor but put him in a raft and he will crawl out in no time. Magnolia pretty much just picked up where she left off last year. She does love the water! I must say, it was so weird going to the pool for me. Last year I spent so many hours in that pool with a huge belly trying to cool off. Now I already have a 9 month old who is sitting, splashing and laughing. Where does the time go?!

Last Day of School

Magnolia had her last day of school this week. She was very sad to say good bye to her wonderful teacher and great friends. She did so well this year! She gained a lot more confidence and always looked forward to school days. We are going to have her do one more year of preschool before kindergarten to gain even more confidence. The pictures of her in the pink red and green stripped dress are the first day of school. The ones in the flower dress are on the last day. Look how tall she got compared to the fence!

New look for the blog

For some reason the website that I use for this blog made me re-do everything. I am still trying to figure everything out and get it how I like it. Thanks for being patient! I am also trying to figure out how to make the pictures bigger. I have learned that if you click on a picture it will make it bigger. You are then able to click through all of the pictures of that post.

Seriously? Could a little guy be any more adorable? I think not! He is at such a fun age right now. He seems to have new tricks every day and is just getting the sweetest little personality. He is really getting good at kisses and today he signed "more" when he wanted me to turn his toy on again! We have only been working with signing when he eats so I was so excited he signed when playing too!

Mother's Day

Dear Magnolia and Keegan, Thank you for such a wonderful Mother's Day! I loved my breakfast in bed, snuggling with my little guy, watching you (Magnolia) learn to ride without training wheels and going out for dinner. Magnolia, I loved that you needed to wear a fancy princess dress, fairy wings and high heels when we went out for dinner. I also am very thankful for the adorable butterfly tile you made me at school! Keegan, I am so lucky that I got one of your sloppy kisses and that I got to see your new tooth when you gave me that award winning smile! I am so very lucky to have you two as my kids! I love you more than you will ever know and treasure every day with you! Thank you for being you and for everything you have given me. You have made my heart complete! Love, Mom
