Fun with family

We had a fantastic trip up to the U.P. of Michigan to visit David's brother and family. Words cannot begin to describe how much fun Magnolia had with her cousins! We were able to hang out at their house for a few days and also at their lake house for a big chunk of time. We went to a super fun park with HUGE slides, jumped on their trampoline, caught frogs, went on a big boat on lake Superior (thanks to Bella and her boyfriend), had a chocolate fountain dessert, many smores, and countless hours at the beach. It was so fantastic hanging out with everyone! We are very thankful and appreciate everything thing that they did to make our trip so much fun! Thank you Katie and Eric for such incredible hospitality! We love you all!

Chicago

While on our vacation David, Magnolia, Keegan and I hung out in Chicago on our way to Michigan and on our way home. We had an absolute blast! We got to ride a train, a trolly and a taxi which made Keegan SO happy! We also went to Navy Pier, the Shedd aquarium, The Rainforest Cafe, and ate Chicago style pizza (which was a huge hit for all of us!). We were on the 11th floor of the hotel so Keegan thought it was so cool to go up so high in a glass elevator! Such fun days!!

5 airplanes

To Magnolia's delight we went on 5 different airplanes on our vacation. She LOVES to fly so much and is such a fantastic little traveler! Keegan is even starting to get the hang of this whole flying thing and might even find it enjoyable! If only there was a job were Magnolia could combine her love of flying and her party planning talent!

My birthday

I had a really great birthday yesterday. It started with a very early breakfast in bed courtesy of Miss Magnolia. I am pretty sure she didn't sleep at all the night before because she really wanted to get up with David and get me breakfast in bed. She is so darn thoughtful! In the morning we went to a big indoor play place that had many inflatable jumpy castles and slides with our friends. Keegan really wanted to go on the big slides but he was way to small so yours truly got to climb up time after time and take him on the slide. After wearing ourselves out we went out for a greek lunch (well... I had greek, Magnolia and Keegan had cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets). When our bellies were full we came home, laid Keegan down for a nap and went to work on a cake. Magnolia and I had such a great time making it. I am pretty sure that both of our favorite part was licking the pan of the homemade chocolate frosting! We had a delicious dinner of Indian food and then our YUMMY cake! What a great day!

Momo and Grandpa

My parents were here all last week for a summer visit. I can't say that we had the best weather but we definitely managed to have some fun! While they were here we made homemade ice cream, went to Magnolia's swimming lessons (VERY early every morning!), played outside, planted some herbs and Magnolia got a very fancy pedicure from Momo. David and I were even able to go out on a date one night! Even though we didn't get much pool time due to rain every single afternoon and evening we still had a wonderful time and created some great memories!
