19 Months Old

Magnolia had an eventful week last week. She was sick for several days and also had her 19 month check up. Let me first say thank you to my uncle Chris who calmed my nerves late Sunday night when I called him worried about my little peanut! She had a high fever and literally laid on David or my lap for 20 straight hours. Poor thing! By Tuesday she was back to her old self... rarely stopping long enough to give us hugs!
At the 19 month check up we learned that we have a very normal and healthy growing girl! She is up to 26 lbs and is 32 inches tall. She continues to have a huge head that is off the charts, but I am guessing that will be the case the rest of her life! She did such a good job at the doctors appointment. She is so funny because she takes things like that so seriously and is all business throughout the whole appointment.

I have decided to add a funny story about Magnolia to each of my blog entries from now on. She is the biggest goof ball around and want to share some of our laughter with those of you who cant see her on a daily basis. The story for the week: Magnolia and I were in the kitchen when I thought I smelled poop coming from Mags. I told her to come over by me so that I could check her diaper. Well, I did not find poop in her diaper, but what I did find was my library card! The little stinker had taken my card from the desk and hid it in her diaper! Ahh... living with a 1 1/2 year old! :)

Mariah's visit

My dear friend Mariah came to visit us this past week from Boston. Magnolia had a really great time and absolutely adored Mariah! Mariah had a tea party with Magnolia and also showed us how to make sushi. The bummer part of the week was that both David and I got sick with the flu while she was here. Poor Mariah had to entertain herself for a day and play with Magnolia as we rested. Thank you Mariah for coming and putting up with us sick ones! I so very much appreciate your friendship and the love that you give my daughter!

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year to you all! May the new year bring you much happiness! I hope that this next year Magnolia will continue to be healthy and happy.
We went on a hike this morning with Magnolia's boyfriend, Will, and his parents Scott and Heidi. It was a very nice morning and felt great to get out and get some fresh air.

Merry Christmas!

Magnolia had a wonderful Christmas yesterday! She was so funny because it literally took her all day to open her gifts! She would open one and then play with that for about an hour, and then open another present. It was so cute! She finished opening up her last gift right before she went to bed last night. She was so happy and loved staying in her pajamas all day. Magnolia must have been a very good girl this year because she sure got a lot of great stuff! I feel so fortunate to be able to have such a wonderful day!
Magnolia got several new things for her baby, including a little crib for her to sleep in and a carrier that Magnolia can strap on herself and carry baby around on her chest. Magnolia thought she was so cool that she could walk around with her baby on her! She is so motherly!

Happy Half Birthday!

Magnolia is officially a year and a half today! Oh my goodness... tomorrow she will be closer to 2 than to 1! Where does the time go? These pictures were taken as she was standing next to her growth chart to see how tall she is. She is 32 inches tall! What a big girl!
She has been into trying to repeat EVERYTHING that we say the past few weeks. So funny... now David and I need to make sure we pay attention to what comes out of our mouth!

SANTA!!

We had a very exciting night last night... Magnolia got to sit on Santa's lap! She was all business and very focused. She concentrated on him and took in everything! When we were walking away she turned around, gave a wave and said "bye bye Santa!"
