Magnolia has been into dressing herself and trying on anything she can get her hands on. She loves wearing our shoes around the house and even put on her daddy's socks one night. I am amazed by the patients this little girl has sometimes. She will sit and work forever trying to get one pair of pants on! Good thing I am a stay at home because I think I would be late or have huge fights most mornings because of this issue! Ahh, I do love my determined child! :)
Welcome to the Maki family blog! This blog has been created to celebrate the lives of our 2 amazing children, Magnolia and Keegan.

My Birthday
My birthday was on Saturday and once again Magnolia and David treated me like a queen! We went to Boulder and walked around in the morning and had some Indian food for lunch. When we got home David surprised me and sent me off to an afternoon at the spa... so relaxing!!! After that Scott, Heidi and Will came over so that we could go to a concert in our neighborhood and let the kids dance the night away. I am pretty sure the day could not have been any more perfect! Magnolia loved helping me open my gifts. She was SO excited when I opened up the card from her and her present. She got me a pink Minnesota Twins visor that works perfect when we go to the pool. How did she ever know that I have wanted one of those for about 6 years now? She must have an amazing daddy who let her in on the secret! :)

Tiny Town
Earlier this week Kate and I took Magnolia, Bella and Sofi to a fun little place called Tiny Town. The girls got to explore little buildings that were just their size, play at a fun playground, have a picnic and even ride a train! Magnolia had such a great time playing around. The highlight for her was the train ride. The train had a steam engine so she got a little scared when the whistle would blow and steam would come out but after she got over that she had a blast. I think she is now officially ready for an engineer hat!

Fountains With Bella
Yesterday Magnolia and I went to play in some fountains with Kate and Bella. Magnolia was so excited to go she could hardly stand it. As we were driving there Magnolia was very quiet and then all the sudden she said "Mamma hat!!!" I looked in my rear-view mirror to see my child wearing a (clean!) swim diaper on her head. She was so proud of herself and laughed and laughed when I looked at her. Good thing I had my camera along to capture the cuteness! While we were waiting for the fountains we went and hung out at the library for a bit. Magnolia found a new book about a raccoon that she just loved. I think I will be ordering it from Amazon tonight! After the library it was off for some fountain fun!
