World Games

Boise is hosting the 2009 World Games for the Special Olympics.  We went downtown yesterday to go to the figure skating.  Magnolia had a great time.  It was so much fun to see people from countries all over the world.  We watched the skating and then went out and walked around downtown.  The bottom picture is of Magnolia meeting a polar bear... I was way more excited about it than she was!  The olympic torch is in the background.

Check up

Magnolia went to the doctor last week for a check up and shots.  Here are her latest statistics:

Weight: 19.8 lbs (90 percentile)
Height: 27 1/4 in (78 percentile)
Head: 46 cm (so big it is way off the charts)

She was a real trooper with her shots.  They seem to have effected her more than the last couple of times but she is doing great now.

Arizona trip - Part Two

Here is part two of our trip.  Magnolia got to pick an orange off the tree for David and I to eat and we also went to the Botanical gardens and walked around.  It was so nice just to be outside and get some vitamin D.  We also had a big moment in Arizona... Magnolia got her first tooth!  Hooray!  Good thing we had a dentist on hand to check it to make sure it is ok.  Everything looks great and I have a feeling that she is going to get another one any day now!

Arizona trip - Part One

We just got back from a wonderful trip to Arizona.  It was filled with sunlight, warmth, laughs and fun.  These pics are from the first part of our trip.  The resort that we stayed at had an outdoor water park, which Magnolia loved.  The first picture is of her lounging and enjoying life. She loved to sit in the pool and splash.  All those swimming lessons are paying off!  :)  The last few pictures are of a hike that we went on one morning.  Magnolia was all smiles the whole hike!

7 Months Old

Magnolia is 7 months old today.  She is wearing the sweater that David bought her while he was on vacation in Florida.  He was so very sweet to get her something and was so excited for her to wear it.  We have to time it right so that she doesnt spit up on it... this is a hand was only sweater.  It is made out of camel hair!  Who would have thought that there was such a thing as "hand wash only" baby clothes!  I must say, it does look darn cute on her.

Today is the day!

Today is the day that starts a new beginning.  I hope that because of today Magnolia's future just got a little brighter and a lot more peaceful.    "The noble idea passed on from generation to generation, the God given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their whole measure of happiness." -President Barack Obama
