David took his final test for his MBA program yesterday. He has been working on his MBA for the past 3 years. If you live in Magnolia's world there is no better way to end all of his hard work than to have a party! While David was taking his test Magnolia decorated the house, made him a graduation hat and got everything ready to surprise him when he got home. We went and ordered him a giant cookie earlier this week. Magnolia was very particular how she wanted the cake and what she wanted on it. Thank goodness it turned out just how she had envisioned it! When David got home we had a really wonderful surprise party for him. I think he was truly surprised! Congratulations David! I am so proud of you and appreciate all of the hard work you do for our family! You are amazing and I love you!

We had some friends come up this past weekend for some swimming fun. They are moving to Finland so it was so great to see them one last time before they are off on their new adventure. Magnolia has always done so fantastic with Tate and they always seem to have a blast together. We will definitely miss Tate and the rest of his family!

Wow, did Magnolia have a huge day on Thursday. Not only did she graduate from preschool in the morning but she lost her first tooth that night!! She couldn't wait for David to get home so he could pull it. I offered to do it early in the day and she said "Mom. No thank you. I want the best tooth puller around to do it." She was very brave and pop! out it came! She put it under her pillow and the tooth fairy came that night. Oh what a day! My little girl grew up so fast in 1 day! Almost to much for this mama to handle!
David was not able to be at Magnolia's graduation and he felt horrible about that. When he came home from work he brought Magnolia a balloon and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Magnolia's eyes completely lit up and she had the biggest smile on her face. Oh how she loves her daddy!

Magnolia graduated from preschool today! My baby is all grown up! David had to work so Keegan and I cheered extra loud for her! I was a bit nervous how Keegan was going to do during the graduation but he did awesome! We sat next to some friends who had little ones around Keegans age so he was very happy to socialize! Congrats to Magnolia! She was definitely the cutest one up there and did such a great job. I couldn't be more proud of her! Watch out kindergarten, Magnolia Maki is on her way!!
Here we go! Here are the pictures to show the changes in Magnolia this school year! The beginning of the year pictures are her wearing the t shirt and flower skirt. Yesterday's pictures are the striped dress with purple sweatshirt. Wow! She has changed so much! She looks like a real big kid now! Cute!
Magnolia had such wonderful kids in her class this year (and wonderful moms!!!). We ended the year by having a class picnic at the park. It was so fun to see all of the kids carefree and having fun. It reminded me just how far Magnolia has come this year! With her having a summer birthday we have always know she was going to be either one of the youngest in her class or one of the oldest. Last year we decided to hold her back and let her be one of the oldest. She has been academically ready for kinder for awhile but we decided that she needed one more year socially. I am so happy we held her back! This year she had real friends in her class. There were always other kids saying hi and bye to her at the beginning and end of the day. She talked about her friends when she wasn't at school. She was so happy playing with others. I watched her at the park playing, laughing, and enjoying her friends. We definitely made the right decision!

Yesterday was a beautiful day here. Perfect temps, no wind, and an entire day with my family. We bought a new picnic table for the kids on Saturday so we made sure we ate out every chance we could to test it out. Keegan did really well sitting up and eating like a big boy. By dinner he did learn that he could eat a bit, get up and go play and then come back and eat some more! We also got out the water table for some water fun. Magnolia thought it was hot enough to put on her suit and really get wet. I disagree, but hey, she had fun! This is the last week of school and then summer can really begin. I don't think I have ever been so excited for summer. It is going to be great! Magnolia is so ready to swim and Keegan will be at such a fun age to get out and about and really enjoy outdoor fun. Bring it on!!!

I had a lovely Mother's Day last Sunday. The kids and David brought me breakfast in bed. It was very yummy and I didn't even mention the crumbs that I found in my bed afterward! ;) One of my gifts I got was a coffee card so we went to Starbucks and got some yummy coffees. It was a very low key and wonderful day. The major bummer was that David had to leave early afternoon to head up to Laramie before the roads closed due to snow. Ugh, a snow storm in May?! Yuck! I did not let a little snow hinder my day of loving and appreciating my family. I am truly the luckiest girl on the planet to have such a wonderful husband and children!
