10 months old

Keegan is 10 months old! As you can see from these pictures it is harder to get a cute pic of him with his sign. He had more fun ripping, eating and moving away from the sign than he did sitting nicely next to it! He had a great month this past month. He got a top tooth, started scooting around and kind of crawling backwards and he even started saying "baa baa baa baa." He is such a social little guy and loves any opportunity to make some noise to get people to look at him. He really likes sitting in restaurants and grabbing the waitress and making sure that she pays a lot of attention to him. Such a little ladies man!

Party Time

Magnolia had her friend birthday on Sunday. She was so lucky that all 7 of her dear friends were able to come! She loves the movie "Tangled" so that was the theme of her party. We made all the girls long Rapunzel braids and the boys got Flynn Rider satchels. We had beautiful weather so we got to do games outside. We played Pin Pascal on Rapunzel, crepe paper friends, throw pascal in the frying pan, Rapunzel braid limbo and paint a mural. The food we made also went along with the movie. We had Jello boats, Rapunzel fruit tower, braid bread, and magic golden flower juice. Keegan was a huge flirt during the party and loved playing with his friend, Fiona. The party was a blast and it was so fun to see all of her wonderful friends... but man oh man was I exhausted Sunday night! I thought we would be taking a break for awhile from all the birthday talk but first thing Monday morning Magnolia comes to me and says "I have been thinking about my 6 year old birthday party and boy do I have some good ideas!" Ha! I quickly told her I was not even thinking about her turning 6 and we are done talking about her birthday for a very long time! She has not mentioned her party the past two days, but has moved on to planning Keegans. Pretty sure we have a party planner on our hands! I cant imagine her wedding some day! :)

Happy Birthday Magnolia!

Well... we offically have a 5 year old! I am not sure how I feel about that! :) Our little girl is growing up way to fast! I feel like it was not that long ago that I labored for 28 hours to get her out! I feel like it was not that long ago that I held her in my arms for the first time. I feel like it was not that long ago that she learned how to crawl. I feel like it was not that long ago that she took her first steps on the turf by our house. I feel like it wasnt that long ago that she was learning her first words. She is now a funny, happy, caring kid! She is no longer a baby or toddler... she is a full fledge kid! As much as I am sad at how fast she is growing I am excited. I am excited to see the strong, compasionate, independent and beautiful girl she is becoming. I feel so very lucky to be her mom and am incredibly proud of my dear little munchkin that I love and adore! We had a really wonderful day on Friday! We thought that it was Magnolia's turn to have breakfast in bed since she wanted us to have breakfast in bed for Mother's and Father's Day. She was so excited to see us bring in the tray of food. She started smiling the second we walked in and I dont think that smile left her face all day! She opened presents, went out for lunch, went to Build-A-Bear and cake in the evening. We had never done Build-A-Bear so it was a really fun experience! Magnolia built a very adorable bear with glasses. She helped bake her birthday cake, which I think made it taste even better! Happy 5th Birthday Magnolia!!!!

Father's Day

Have I ever mentioned how lucky my kids are to have David as a dad?! (And how lucky I am to have him as a best friend and husband!) I hope he had a wonderful Father's Day yesterday and felt very loved and appreciated! Magnolia and I worked very hard on his present. We made him a painting for his office. It took us weeks but Magnolia stuck with it and loved making it just for him. We also served him breakfast in bed and just hung out the rest of the day. David got a massage in the afternoon and then we went out for dinner. We went to a place that had smores for dessert. They brought a little fire to your table and you got to roast your marshmallows right over that fire. David and I agreed that is the best way to have smores... no bugs and no smokey smell in your hair afterward! :)

Momo and Grandpa

My parents were out here last week for a summer visit. Magnolia kept them very busy swimming, playing, baking, and going on fun adventures. Keegan was so excited to show them all of his new tricks and charmed them with his adorable smiles! He was not scared of them at all (which is such a nice treat from his sister at his age!!).

Lakeside Amusement Park

Magnolia went to her first amusement park this weekend. To say she had fun would be an understatement! She LOVED every ride and had no fear. She went on all of the kiddie rides and then went on the tilt-a-whirl with David and I, bumper boats with my dad, the Scrambler with me, the swings with me, the ferris wheel with me and the carousel with my parents and I. Her favorite ride was the little roller coaster. The last time she went on it she was so excited because she got to ride in the first car and had her hands up the whole time. What a little dare devil we have! Keegan had fun watching all of the people, lights and rides. He really enjoyed the view from Grandpa's shoulders!
