On Saturday Magnolia had her friend birthday party at a children's museum. She picked Strawberry Shortcake for her theme so we had Strawberry Shortcake cake, plates, balloons, party hats, a crown for Magnolia and party favors. I think everyone had a great time and now our birthday celebrations for Magnolia are officially over... Whew! She is already busy planning her next birthday though. This morning she asked how many days until its her birthday again!
The rest of Magnolia's birthday was just our family. For dinner Magnolia chose to go out for pizza. We then came home and opened presents and then had the cake that Magnolia helped me make. Mmm, she thought that cake was DELICIOUS!! All in all it was a fantastic day!
Magnolia is 4! How is that possible?! Oh my goodness she is growing up fast! She has been counting down to her birthday for the past 4 months. She has been so very excited for her big day she could hardly contain herself... until the morning of the big day! She woke up that morning in tears because she decided that being 3 was really fun and she didnt want to be 4 anymore. After some long chats about all the fun things 4 year olds can do that 3 year olds cant she started to perk up. Nothing like having a midlife crisis at 4 years old! :) Her birthday morning was spent at Will's house playing in the sprinkler, eating lunch and of course blowing out birthday candles with her dear friends Bella and Will. It was a great birthday morning!!

Happy Father's Day to the most amazing dad and husband a family could ask for! I have never met another man that is so full of patience and love as David is. I am so thankful every single day that I have him as a partner to do this job of parenting with. I couldn't do it without him. I must admit that I have been very low on patience and have not been the most fun person to be around these past 7 months. This baby growing in my belly seems to be sucking all of my energy and my ability to be a laid back and relaxed person. Hopefully those things return in about 8 weeks! Through all of it, David has had a way to blow off my snapping at him and make a joke about my emotions... which I greatly appreciate! We had a really great Father's Day. Very low key, but great! We worked on getting the baby's room set up, went to a new Farmer's Market, went out for dinner and played in Magnolia's new playroom. Magnolia painted David a picture frame for a present and even came up with her own Father's Day song. The video is of the song she made up... adorable! Happy Father's Day David! We love you oodles and oodles, bunches and bunches!

Magnolia and I flew back home last Friday from our fantastic trip to the cabins. For those of you who dont know, Magnolia is going to be an astronaut when she grows up and LOVES airplanes and flying more than anything. She was so cute when we sat down, she instantly pulled out the emergency card and really studied what to do in emergencies. We ended up having a few extra minutes for her to study the card because we had to sit on the runway while we waited for Air Force One to take off before us. By the time I thought to get my camera out it was already going up in the air but at least I kind of got a picture!
After the weekend at David's cabin Magnolia and I took him to the airport and headed to my parent's cabin. It was another exciting few days in Magnolia's world. She was able to go fishing and fishing and more fishing, have the campfire she had been waiting for and play with her other cousins. She even had some pet worms that she kept in her tackle box. Oh we have a real lake girl and I couldn't be more happy!
We were at David's parent's cabin over Memorial Day. Magnolia had a blast playing with her cousins and going on boat rides. She even got a pedicure from Isabella and Daphne. She also ate a very yummy s'more even though her camp fire idea got rained out. Thank goodness they had a fire in the sauna so Sully and Daphne could roast her a marshmallow!
