Magnolia had a wonderful Christmas yesterday! She was so funny because it literally took her all day to open her gifts! She would open one and then play with that for about an hour, and then open another present. It was so cute! She finished opening up her last gift right before she went to bed last night. She was so happy and loved staying in her pajamas all day. Magnolia must have been a very good girl this year because she sure got a lot of great stuff! I feel so fortunate to be able to have such a wonderful day!
Magnolia got several new things for her baby, including a little crib for her to sleep in and a carrier that Magnolia can strap on herself and carry baby around on her chest. Magnolia thought she was so cool that she could walk around with her baby on her! She is so motherly!

Magnolia is officially a year and a half today! Oh my goodness... tomorrow she will be closer to 2 than to 1! Where does the time go? These pictures were taken as she was standing next to her growth chart to see how tall she is. She is 32 inches tall! What a big girl!
She has been into trying to repeat EVERYTHING that we say the past few weeks. So funny... now David and I need to make sure we pay attention to what comes out of our mouth!

Let me first apologize that I have been such a slacker on updating Magnolia's blog. Mags has been fighting a cold this week so she has needed extra cuddle and snuggle time!
David's parents were able to come out last week for some Christmas fun. Magnolia had a blast showing them all of her new tricks and saying "Hi Pappa!" She got to have a jump start and open some Christmas presents early. Grammy made Magnolia an amazing Brown Bear quilt that Magnolia just loves. She has so much fun finding all the different animals on it. She also got a puzzle that is her name. She is so cute because whenever she has the letter "i" we say "thats the letter 'i'" She then proceeds to put it next to her eye! I tell you, the English language is so hard to understand!
Magnolia was also able to show them how much she loves the snow! Her daddy bought her an inflatable tube to ride in so her, pappa and David went out and played. Magnolia sure does love having company... especially family!

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving. We went over to our friend's house for a true Thanksgiving feast! Magnolia was in her glory because she got to spend the whole evening with her best friend, Sofi. She also met 2 other little boys who were both the same age as Magnolia. It was a night filled with great food, friends and laughter.
When we asked Magnolia what she is thankful for this year she said that she is thankful for all of her friends and family who read her blog and also said that she loves you all very much! ;)

Magnolia had a very special day today! She got to go and get a pedicure with her best friends Sofi and Bella. I must say, it was the cutest thing I have ever seen. She climbed right up in the chair and was all business. She sat so still and was so very serious the whole time. It was so cute because she got to pick out her polish... I thought she needed my help so I picked a very pretty pink for her. I guess she is a big girl now because she did not want my help and picked out a purple sparkle one. She loved that purple one so we compromised. She got the pink with purple glitters on top. Her toes are by far the cutest toes around. She loves them as well. She has wanted one sock off the rest of the day and keeps looking down and touching her toes and then says "MMmmmmmm!!!!!!!!" The only thing that could have made the day even better is if the mommies got pedicures too! :)

Grandma Lori came and spent Halloween with us. We feel very lucky that she made it, she came in on Thursday, right when we were getting 24 inches of snow! Grandma brought Magnolia a Halloween bag filled with books and a really cool ball that Magnolia adores. She also showed Magnolia how to eat a sucker (Magnolia thought that the sucker was chapstick) and gave her a blueberry doughnut... ahh Magnolia is learning why grandparents are so wonderful! :)
We have a little trick or treater pro on our hands. I must say, when we talked about taking Magnolia trick-or-treating I thought we would go to a house or two and that was about it. Boy were we wrong! Miss Magnolia really got into the whole thing and had a blast. She went trick or treating with her friend Tate. They figured out within minutes exactly what to do. They loved going up to the houses, knocking and getting the treats. They were so cute, they didnt care what they got, and didnt even know that they were getting some yummy things to eat. They just knew that it was really fun to knock on a door and someone will come right away and give them something to carry in their bags. Absolutely adorable!
